I have decided for my linocut art project that use my Eagle design because the Eagle is an Important animal in my culture and is highly respected.

Woodland Art - Norval Morrisseau
Morrisseau enlarged the scale of his works and developed his pictographic style in 1963-66.
He represented inner realities with strong flowing lines combined with rich colours that often indicated spiritual forces.
Norval was the first person in Canada and the US to paint pictures of the Eastern Woodlands people.
Norval grew up in a bad time for aboriginal peoples, he was hospitalized and drank heavily.
